The State of Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation today unveiled www.nevadayouth.org, an innovative youth web portal specially designed for Nevada youth to be connected to education and/or productive employment
The new Nevada JobConnect Youth website - www.nevadayouth.org - is dedicated to educating and preparing Nevada youth in these tough times to make smart employment and career decisions. The site is funded by the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation and supported by Nevada Jobconnect, a statewide network that connects businesses with employees.

Governor Bob Wise (former Governor of West Virginia) will provide the keynote address. Gov. Wise is the Executive Director of the Alliance for Excellent Education and has been on the forefront of education reform for the past several years.
The inaugural Ready for Life Nevada Dropout Prevention Summit was held in November 2008 to work toward increasing the graduation rate. We recently published an update on the progress that has been made since that event which highlights some impressive achievements from organizations across Nevada.
